Arrogate 141

Arrogate displayed yet another "unbelievable" (a term that has overused) performance in the 2017 Dubai World Cup.  He showed his stardom in the Travers, and his toughness against the top-form California Chrome in the Breeders' Cup Classic.  In the Pegasus World Cup, I was more sorry about Chrome's loss than Arrogate domination.  But in the Dubai World Cup, it is more like "what universe does he come from!?"

Timeform gives Arrogate a rating of 141, the highest of any North American trained horse since the company started comprehensively rating horses in North America for the last 25 years or so.

For the record, below are the Timeform rating for major North America trained horses:

  • Arrogate 141
  • American Pharoah 138
  • California Chrome 138
  • Cigar 138
  • Easy Goer 137
  • Sunday Silence 137
  • Ghostzapper 137
